For the week of August 22-28, all games at the SCBC award SILVER points. These games are only F2F at the SCBC. Your percentage is compared across several ACBL Districts, so a high score can earn you lots of silver points. The Thursday 10A game will also an Open STaC game during this week. 499ers will be in their own strat, so win extra Silver points. There must be 5 or more tables to run a STaC game. The Unit is paying for the extra charges, so the game charge remains at $5. The online Game Calendar reflects the updated schedule. Please contact Ken to request a partner: (831) 426-4949; via email to Partner Request. All players and directors must be vaccinated and bring proof at their first instance returning to the SCBC. Masks are optional. Cathrine Harris co-hosts "Sorry Partner" SORRY, PARTNER is a podcast about bridge and the worldwide community of bridge players, hosted by bridge partners and friends, Catherine Harris and Jocelyn Startz. Catherine played at the SCBC for a number of years before returning to Australia. Each week they chat with international bridge luminaries and dip into listener mail, sharing stories from around the world about this game we love. Two of our favorites featured Michael Rosenberg and Bob Hamman. Michael plays out of Palo Alto. His spouse Debbie, also a world-class player, ran a class at the SCBC and their son, a rising bridge star, played at the SCBC before he was a Life Master. You can find SORRY, PARTNER by clicking here or the show's logo in the menu bar on the left and on Apple podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, etc. Unit 550 June Newsletter (Diamond in the Ruff) Read article here.
