2/1 for Newer Players: A series of courses are being offered to transition players from Standard American to 2/1 Game Force bidding. After taking these courses you’ll see why many have adopted 2/1 for their principle bidding system. Courses will be offered on most Saturdays at 1 PM and will last about 2 hours. Many hands will be dealt to allow you to apply the ideas taught in the session. You don’t need a partner to attend. The cost is $10 per session.

Core I: Nov 7 through Dec 21. We’ll cover 2/1 Game Force and Forcing Notrump bidding principles. 2/1 conventions will be postponed to Cores II and III. However, many of the Standard American conventions you already know can be easily incorporated into 2/1. After Core I, you’ll see satisfying improvements in your results.

Bid/Play with KenG: This course is a mentoring-oriented approach where a handful of newer/low intermediate players are faced with a set of hands they bid and play. A supervised group discussion follows about better bids or play. A topic is presented at the beginning of each session. The goal is for players to become competitive more quickly and reduce mistakes. The sessions will span several months and be progressive. The course meets Monday mornings at 10A and cost $10 per session. Players are expected to have taken a beginning bridge course or have equivalent playing experience.

Expert at Your Elbow: Each Friday at 10 AM, we offer 2-3 hours of guidance on bidding and play. Newer players are welcomed. Following each hand, a monitored discussion with a local expert highlights bidding and play subjects.
