Ken Llacera

Ken is a Sapphire Life Master and an accredited ACBL Best Practices Teacher who teaches beginners and intermediate players. He is a student of the game and wants to share his enthusiasm for improving bridge skills with a wider audience. He has enjoyed success at each level of competition, including a national title (won with Mick Friedberg, on right in photo) and multiple regional wins.

Play & Defend combines playing curated hands in a BBO tournament setting with an immediate review on zoom to highlight key plays and the best defense. The format provides an almost real-life experience in defense and declarer play to improve learning and applying the concepts in real games. The class is intended for players looking to advance their defense and declarer technique. It’s a terrific complement to Ken Gamble’s “Declaring a Trump Contract”.

Participants also receive a complete write-up of each hand immediately after the game. By the conclusion of the class, these will form a booklet you can use as a valuable reference document.

We suggest signing up with your favorite partner. If your partner is unavailable, Ken will try to find you a compatible one for the class. Each two-hour session will be held 9:30A Mondays starting December 7. The cost is $10 per session, paid at the conclusion of the class. Ten independent sessions are planned, so there’s no problem if you skip a session. Enrollment is limited; please contact Ken at pasa49@pacbell.net to reserve a seat or for more information.

199er Review focus on aspects of the game to assist intermediate players (typically 20-200 MPs) in improving their game and results. Classes are scheduled in conjunction with the Tuesday Evening game at 9AM for one hour. These classes are free to those who played in the game.
