Team Pender was almost eliminated in the first round, losing their initial match in a round-robin. They secured a narrow win in the second match and went on to obliterate their opponents in the third round, semi-final match. In fact, the other team conceded at the half so Team Pender relaxed at Chef Chu's and prepared for the final by feasting on Chinese Chicken salad. In the final, Pender was down at the half by 8 IMPs but came back strong and recorded a convincing win. The 17+ Gold MPs gave Charlie his Life Master. Way to go Charlie!
